Deliveroo launches adult toy delivery service with Ann Summers

Customers can now get vibrators, massage oils, and sex toys delivered to their doors at lightning speed, as part of a steamy new partnership between Deliveroo and the nation’s best known sex shop.

In an unexpected move, Deliveroo has announced a partnership with renowned lingerie and adult toy retailer Ann Summers, introducing a rapid delivery service that promises to bring products to customers’ doorsteps in a matter of minutes.

This collaboration marks a diversification for Deliveroo, venturing beyond its traditional food delivery domain.

The service is set to debut with a curated selection of 15 top-selling items from Ann Summers, targeting areas including Brighton, Manchester, and select locations in London such as Canning Town and Vauxhall.

The timing of the launch is strategically planned to coincide with the Valentine’s Day rush, a period typically marked by heightened demand for Ann Summers’ offerings.

Deliveroo’s foray into this new territory follows the November inception of ‘Deliveroo Shopping’, a broader initiative aimed at encompassing a wide range of retail categories.

This expansion into sectors such as pharmacy, toys, and pet care reflects the company’s ambition to diversify its delivery services.

Eric French, Deliveroo’s Chief Operating Officer, expressed enthusiasm about the new venture, highlighting the potential for significant growth. “Deliveroo Shopping represents an exciting evolution for us, as we aim to deliver an ever-expanding array of high street products directly to our customers’ doors,” he said.

“Our partnership with Ann Summers, a beloved and iconic British brand, is particularly timely as Valentine’s Day approaches, making it more convenient for customers to purchase their products.”

In 2023 delivery service DoorDash made headlines with ‘Self-Love Bouquet’, a bouquet of 11 roses and sex toy.
