HSBC UK and Shelter demonstrate the vicious cycle of homelessness

HSBC UK and Shelter kicked off their partnership with a striking out-of-home exhibition, portraying the relentless spiral of homelessness.
Situated in King’s Cross Station, the stunt included a climbing actor who was scaling a revolving wall, on which was written ‘NO HOME, NO JOB, NO BANK ACCOUNT’. This demonstrates the vicious cycle that at least 271,000 homeless people are trapped in, showing how hard it is to hang on without help.
The partnership will boost support for Shelter’s much used emergency helpline and train volunteers, alongside many more vital services they provide. Mike Watson, the campaigns’ creative director, commented: ‘When people fall on hard times, they often hope it’s a temporary circumstance, but in reality, without help, it can be hard for them to get back on their feet. This activation brings to life the vicious circle of financial exclusion and shows what Shelter and HSBC UK are doing to help break it.’
