In a move that makes all the lactose intolerant girlies rejoice, Malibu has collaborated with Oatly to launch a vegan-friendly ‘Piña Oatlada’ soft serve ice cream, boasting a 1.5% ABV.

Designed to appeal to Gen Z consumers seeking lower-alcohol and plant-based options, the Piña Oatlada cocktail-inspired ice cream combines Malibu’s tropical flavours with Oatly’s creamy oat base.

The new soft serve, which aims to provide the “ultimate taste of the season,” will debut at the Paradise Arches pop-up in London’s Shoreditch from 12 July to 2 August. Visitors can enjoy Malibu and Oatly-inspired cocktails, light bites, and a complimentary Piña Oatlada in a specially-designed cocktail-glass-shaped waffle cone.

The pop-up will offer a variety of daily unique ticketed events, including DJ sets, drag bingo, hip hop brunches, fitness classes, speed dating, and cabaret shows. Following London, the Piña Oatlada will be available in select UK bars and at festivals including All Points East in London, Way Out West in Sweden, and Superbloom in Germany.

Far from just producing a tasty ice cream, the unique collaboration represents a novel way to introduce Oatly to the nightlife scene.
