A round-up of Deadpool & Wolverine’s latest collaborations and stunts
By Emilie Hudson on Wednesday, July 24, 2024
The eagerly awaited ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ film will be making its way in to theatres on July 26th. To celebrate, let’s dive into the creative and humorous efforts of the ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ marketing team! Here’s a roundup of our favourite collaborations and stunts (so far!):
4.Adidas launches exclusive ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ collection
For all the footwear/Marvel fanatics out there, Adidas has created a twist on their classic Rivalry Low silhouette, giving a gentle nod to the beloved characters featured in the upcoming film. One design honours Deadpool’s iconic red and black colour scheme, finished off with a splatter of red paint, giving it that signature Deadpool flair as well as hidden jokes in the interior lining to incorporate some of his iconic quick wit. The other design takes its inspiration from Wolverine’s legendary yellow and blue suit, flaunting bold yellow uppers with contrasting blue details and three black ‘slashes’ — a striking homage to his adamantium claws.
3.Jack in the box – limited edition chimichangas
Jack in the box have celebrated the film release with new mini Chimi Bang Bangs. Fans of the Marvel anti-hero will know all too well the obsession he has with chimichangas – making Jack in the Box’s latest menu addition the perfect spicy shake up.
2.Xbox releases limited edition controller
Microsoft is pushing the boundaries of gaming with their booty-ful (ahem) Deadpool/Wolverine themed Xbox controller designed to resemble Wade’s (and his indestructible bestie’s) backsides.
The brand spanking new accessories perfectly capture Deadpool’s cheeky spirit, promising a “firm (yet surprisingly comfortable) grip” – we’ll take their word for it.
1. Heinz Unveils Deadpool-Themed Ad with Ryan Reynolds’ Witty Twist: ‘Someone’s Getting Sued
Red and yellow has to be Deadpool and Wolverine – right? We thought so to but Heinz new ad will make you think of the films iconic red and yellow colour way in a new light. Narrated by Ryan Reynolds, with his trademark Deadpool wit, the clip begins as a trailer for the upcoming film but comically transitions into a Heinz commercial. Saucy.
